Scars

Life gives all of us scars. What we do with them is up to each of us. The tissues are not the same as the healthy tissue we were born with. No. It is unique and leaves a mark that looks different than the original skin. Scars are tougher tissue. They are evidence of healing from wounds. They are lifelong reminders of the past and a road ma  to personal history.

Whatever may have scared you , that is your story and your record of healing. What will you do with your scars? I turn mine into stories. I carry them with deeper understand and try to apply what I have learned to make this world we all share a better place. I wear mine as a lasting warning that not everything will end well. And also that not everything is within my ability to control it.

I hold my scars close and keep learning from them. Sometimes the tissue pulls and the scars hurt, but that is just the residual leftover of a healed hurt that has left a lasting mark. It comes as part of the lasting effect of being a scarred human. We all have scars. How will you carry yours?
